Voice Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to everyone who uses CocoaVoIP services, operated by Beneffy Telecom ("we," "us"). It is part of our Terms of Service. The short version: use your phone service the way an honest business talks to its customers. Don't use it to spam, deceive, harass, or break the law. If you do, we can suspend or close your account.
1. No spam or unsolicited communications
Don't use the Services to place unsolicited marketing calls or send unsolicited commercial messages. You are responsible for complying with all applicable telemarketing and messaging laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule, CAN-SPAM, and National Do Not Call Registry rules. Calls and texts to people who have not given the consent the law requires — or who have asked you to stop — are prohibited.
2. No robocalling or auto-dialing abuse
The Services are built for live, human conversation. You may not use auto-dialers, predictive dialers, artificial or prerecorded voice messages, ringless voicemail drops, or similar automation to originate call or message volume, except with our prior written approval and full compliance with applicable law. Placing large numbers of concurrent or sequential calls for improper purposes — including snowshoeing traffic across numbers to evade detection — is prohibited.
3. Caller ID integrity
You may not manipulate or falsify caller ID or otherwise misrepresent who you are or where a call originates. Spoofing caller ID with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value violates the Truth in Caller ID Act and this Policy. Outbound caller ID on your account must be a number you own or are authorized to use.
4. Fair use of unlimited calling
Unlimited plans cover normal business use by a live person. They do not cover traffic pumping or access stimulation, continuous or unattended call sessions, use as a trunk for another phone system, high-volume outbound call-center or telemarketing operations, or resale of the Services. Usage far outside typical business patterns may be flagged for review; we will contact you before taking action except in cases of clear abuse.
5. Text messaging rules
Business texting rides on carrier networks with their own rules. You must have recipient consent appropriate to the message type, honor opt-outs (including STOP replies) immediately, and accurately identify your business in campaigns. Content prohibited by carrier policies — including sexual content, hate speech, and unlawful promotion of alcohol, firearms, tobacco, or cannabis, as well as phishing links and link shorteners that obscure destinations — may not be sent. High-volume messaging may require campaign registration (10DLC); we'll help with that on request.
6. No harassment, threats, or abuse
Don't use the Services to harass, stalk, threaten, bully, or intimidate anyone, or to make repeated unwanted calls or messages to any person or number.
7. No fraud or impersonation
Don't use the Services to deceive: no phishing or vishing, no impersonating another person, business, or government agency, no fake support or collection calls, and no schemes designed to wrongfully obtain money, credentials, or personal information.
8. No illegal use
Don't use the Services to engage in, promote, or facilitate any activity that is illegal where you are or where your calls and messages are received — including the exploitation or endangerment of minors, which we report to the appropriate authorities.
9. Respect others' privacy
If you record calls, you are responsible for obtaining every consent required by the call-recording laws that apply to you and the other parties (some states require all parties to consent). Don't use the Services to collect, share, or publish other people's personal or confidential information — such as card numbers, government ID numbers, or passwords — without their permission.
10. No interference with the Services
Don't transmit malware or harmful code; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our network; interfere with service to any user or network; create accounts by automated means; share, resell, or transfer your account without our written consent; or reverse engineer the Services.
11. Number use and inactivity
Phone numbers we assign are for active use with the Services. Acquiring numbers in bulk to warehouse or resell them is prohibited. We may reclaim assigned (non-ported) numbers with no usage after 90 days of a closed or delinquent account; numbers you ported in remain yours to port out at any time.
12. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate Services — with or without notice, depending on severity — for conduct that violates this Policy, harms other users or networks, or exposes us to legal or regulatory risk. We cooperate with law enforcement and industry traceback efforts (such as the Industry Traceback Group) where required. To report abuse originating from a CocoaVoIP number, email us or use the contact page.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
